Prateek Pattanaik

Prateek Pattanaik is an independent researcher, archivist &Odissi classical musician. MSc (Physics), MA (Odia). He writes and delivers talks on the culture of Odisha, with special focus on the Jagannatha temple tradition and traditional musico-literature. For his groundbreaking field research & documentation of rare art forms of Odisha and his specialised efforts in preserving ancient Odissi music compositions, he has received appreciation from various quarters, including the Chief Minister of Odisha. He has collaborated with several leading authorities in the sphere of culture. A practicing classical musicain, he is a disciple of Pt Guru Ramarao Patra and is currently continuing his higher training in Odissi vocal music as well as the Odissi Bina in the sisya-parampara of the early 20th-century maestro Acharya Tarini Charan Patra.
