Sumitra Parhi is a writer, artist, translator and research scholar based in Bhubaneswar, Odisha. She has completed her Masters in English and Comparative Literature from Pondicherry Central University and did higher studies in English language Teaching from English and Foreign Language University, Hyderabad. She is a recipient of Junior Research Fellowship from the Ministry of Culture, Govt. of India. Being active in research field for last 15 years she did numerous works in the field of alternative education, child psychology as well as art, craft and culture. Through this process she worked as project coordinator, moderator and curator in several national and international level art workshop, seminar and event. So far she has been published six books, which includes articles on alternative learning, play based on child psychology, children's story based on logical thinking and positivity, artist interview, poetry collection and book of grammar.
